Welcomed Positively, TIS Energy Holds Socialization on RBG-7 Development Well Drilling Plan in Pilangwetan, Demak

News 30 October 2026

Demak – The plan to drill the RBG-7 Development Well in Pilangwetan Village, Kebonagung District, Demak Regency, has received positive responses from the local government, the Kebonagung Sub-district Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam), and the local community. The support was expressed during the Socialization of RBG-7 Development Well Drilling Site Preparation, organized by TIS Petroleum E&P Blora Pte. Ltd. (TIS Energy), as the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) Contractor managing the Blora Working Area, on Friday, October 30, 2026.

The RBG-7 Development Well is the first gas well in Demak Regency and is expected to contribute to strengthening national energy security. The socialization event was held in an informal community gathering format at the Pilangwetan Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Pond, providing an opportunity for direct engagement with local residents.

Through this initiative, TIS Energy aims to establish open communication from the earliest stages of project preparation while strengthening collaboration with the government and relevant stakeholders to ensure that operational plans are implemented effectively and in alignment with the needs of the surrounding community.

In his remarks, Kebonagung Sub-district Secretary, Mujab Muhammad, representing the Kebonagung Sub-district Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam), expressed his appreciation to TIS Energy for its plan to develop energy resources in the Kebonagung area.

"We highly appreciate TIS Energy for organizing this socialization activity. We hope the project will bring meaningful benefits to the surrounding community," he said.

He also emphasized the importance of prioritizing public safety and security throughout all stages of the project, while ensuring environmental protection. He further highlighted the need for continuous communication and coordination between the company, local government, and community to maintain a conducive environment during project implementation.

Similar support was conveyed by the Demak Regency Government. Head of Economic and Natural Resources Division of the Demak Regency Regional Secretariat, Ahmad Nur Azizul Miftah, stated that the proposed drilling plan aligns with the government's efforts to strengthen national energy security.

He stressed that Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and environmental protection must remain key priorities throughout project implementation.

"We hope TIS Energy will continue to maintain open communication with village, sub-district, and regency authorities. Transparent communication will foster mutual understanding, ensuring that this project delivers benefits to the community," he stated.

The Demak Regency Government's positive response further reinforces the support previously expressed by Demak Regent Eisti'anah during a coordination meeting with SKK Migas and TIS Energy at Grhadika Bina Praja Building on October 8.

Responding to the feedback and expectations conveyed by the local government and community representatives, TIS Energy's Acting Business Support Manager, Dwi Putri Nevy, reaffirmed the company's commitment to implementing the RBG-7 drilling preparation activities based on three key principles: prioritizing safety, strengthening collaboration with stakeholders and the local community, and supporting the national energy security agenda.

"Safety is our top priority at every stage of our operations. Together with the government, stakeholders, and the people of Pilangwetan, we are committed to maintaining strong collaboration while contributing to the national energy security agenda," she concluded.

This commitment reflects TIS Energy's operational principles, which consistently prioritize safety, health, security, integrity, and environmental protection across all company activities.

During the event, the TIS Energy team also presented the planned Drilling Site Preparation (DSP) activities as an initial stage prior to drilling operations. The presentation was followed by an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session, providing an open platform for community members to raise questions, share feedback, and convey their aspirations directly to TIS Energy management.

As part of its commitment to transparency and information disclosure, updates on subsequent project developments will continue to be communicated to the community through the Pilangwetan Village Government.

The event concluded with a group photo session and the symbolic release of red tilapia broodstock into the Pilangwetan Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Pond, marking the commencement of the RBG-7 Development Well drilling preparation phase. This activity represents the company's commitment to environmental stewardship and symbolizes the shared hope that all preparation and drilling activities will proceed smoothly, safely, and harmoniously, while delivering positive benefits to the surrounding community.

The event was also attended by Pilangwetan Village Head Toha Mahsun; Kebonagung Military Sub-district Post Commander (Danposramil), Kodim 0716/Demak, First Sergeant Ali Mustofa; Kebonagung Police Chief, Inspector Said Nu'man Murod; a representative of the Demak Regency Housing, Settlement, and Spatial Planning Agency (DINPUTARU), Bejo; as well as community leaders, religious leaders, youth representatives, women's representatives, village officials, and members of the media.
