AHEAD OF RBG-7 GAS WELL DRILLING PREPARATIONS, TIS ENERGY REAFFIRMS ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT WITH SDN 1 PILANGWETAN

News 14 October 2026

Demak, 14 October 2026 – TIS Energy, the Contract of Cooperation Contractor (KKKS) operating the Blora Working Area, conducted the TIS Energy Green School Program at SDN 1 Pilangwetan, Kebonagung District, Demak Regency, on Wednesday (14 October). The event was attended by representatives of the Demak Regency Education Office, Demak Regency Environmental Agency, Kebonagung Subdistrict Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimcam), and the Head of Pilangwetan Village, reflecting a collaborative effort to foster environmental awareness from an early age.

The program is part of TIS Energy’s commitment to implementing its Community Involvement and Development (CID) Program, known in Indonesia as Program Pelibatan dan Pengembangan Masyarakat (PPM), in the environmental sector through SiTandur (Siap Tanam Dukung Ruang Hijau), an initiative aimed at supporting greener and more sustainable surroundings. Activities included a ceremonial tree-planting session, interactive environmental education, waste-sorting practices, creative recycling of used plastic bottles into plant pots, and a school greening initiative.

Separately, TIS Energy General Manager Heri Suryanto emphasized that the company’s commitment to communities and the environment is an integral part of developing its operational areas, including preparations for the planned drilling of the RBG-7 Development Gas Well in Pilangwetan Village.

“Community and environmental care must go hand in hand with our operational development plans. Even before drilling activities at the RBG-7 Development Gas Well commence, we have already introduced a community development program as a tangible contribution to the local community. We remain committed to protecting the environment surrounding our operational areas and strengthening collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure that the benefits of our programs can be sustained over the long term,” said Heri.

The program aligns with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, particularly the Environmental aspect through greening initiatives and waste management education, and the Social aspect through the active involvement of schools and local stakeholders.

Through this collaborative approach, TIS Energy hopes to instill environmentally responsible habits from an early age while fostering positive and sustainable relationships with communities surrounding its operational areas.
